Lincoln Szeglowski

I am a 2010 birth-year player and Class of 2029 student at Charlotte Catholic High School. As a freshman in 2025, I was part of Charlotte Catholic’s North Carolina 6A State Championship team, which won the program’s first state title in 20 years and finished the season ranked inside the national Top 10.

I currently play for the Charlotte Eagles U16 MLS NEXT Academy and U20 USL Academy teams. During the 2026 USL Academy season, I earned starts and appearances at age 15 while competing with and against older high school and college players. I also helped my club team win the NAL Carolinas Conference Championship and advance to the NAL National Championship semifinals.

Because of my Polish heritage, I have also had the opportunity to be evaluated by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). After attending a Polish National ID Camp in the U.S. in 2025, I was selected for a 10-day U17 identification camp in Poland in the summer of 2026. I played in all four matches against professional academy competition, primarily at wingback, and finished the camp with 1 goal and 2 assists.

I consider myself a versatile, two-way player. I prefer playing centrally, especially in midfield, but I have also played defensive midfield, fullback/wingback, center back, attacking midfield, and striker. Coaches have consistently valued my ability to read the game, stay composed on the ball, adapt to different positions and systems, and contribute wherever the team needs me.

My goal is to continue competing at the highest level I can, keep improving as a player, and eventually earn the opportunity to play college soccer.
